A professional business card makes a lasting first impression - but design software is expensive and slow to learn. Choose from five designer templates shown as live previews of your own card, add your logo, and set your fonts, text size, and two brand colours. Add a scan-to-save QR code, design a matching back side, pick your region's card size, and download a high-resolution PNG or a print-ready PDF with bleed and crop marks. The editor is organised into Design, Content, and Export steps, and everything runs in your browser, so your logo and details are never uploaded.
How to use this tool
- 1In the Design step, pick a card size (US 3.5 x 2 in, EU 85 x 55 mm, or square) and a template from the live gallery: Aperture (monogram, minimal luxury), Masthead (editorial split), Ledger (Swiss grid), Maison (boutique frame), or Signal (mono, dark).
- 2Enter your name, job title, company, and an optional tagline, then add contact details: email, phone, website, LinkedIn, or address.
- 3Upload your logo (a transparent PNG works best). It is placed automatically to suit the template and never leaves your browser.
- 4Optionally add a QR code: choose a vCard code so people can save your full contact with one scan, or a website code. The QR prints on the back.
- 5Turn on the back side and choose its background, then set your accent colour to match your brand. Use the Front/Back toggle to preview each side.
- 6Download a PNG, or download a print PDF. For a professional printer, tick 'Add bleed + crop marks' to include a 1/8 inch (3 mm) bleed.
Example
Size: US. Template: Masthead. Name: Maya Torres. Title: Brand Designer. Company: MT Creative. Logo: uploaded transparent PNG. QR: vCard (scan to save contact) on an accent back. Accent: teal. Downloads a double-sided print PDF with bleed for a local print shop.
Size: US. Template: Maison. Name: David Kim. Title: Owner. Company: Kim's Bakery. Tagline: Fresh daily since 2019. Back: logo centred on a warm-orange panel. Downloads the print PDF and uploads it to Vistaprint. Total cost: free tool plus printing.
Common use cases
- Freelancers and consultants who need a branded card with their logo, fast
- Small business owners who want a double-sided card with a scan-to-save QR code
- Networkers who want people to save their contact instantly by scanning the back
- Job seekers and founders who need a professional card before branding is finalised
- Anyone printing abroad who needs the correct EU (85 x 55 mm) or US card size
- People sending files to a professional printer who need a PDF with bleed and crop marks
Common mistakes
- Cramming too much on the card - stick to name, title, company, one email, one phone, and one URL, and move the logo or QR to the back.
- Using a light brand colour on Masthead or Signal (which have dark surfaces) - the tool keeps text readable automatically, but very light colours still reduce contrast at small sizes.
- Uploading a logo with a white box behind it - a transparent PNG sits cleanly on any template.
- Sending a screen-resolution screenshot to the printer - always download the PNG or PDF, which are full 300 DPI.
- Forgetting bleed for professional printing - tick 'Add bleed + crop marks' so the design runs cleanly to the trimmed edge.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add my own logo?
Yes. Upload a logo and it is placed automatically to suit the template you chose, on the front and available on the back. A transparent PNG works best so it sits cleanly on any background. Your logo is processed in your browser and never uploaded to a server.
Can I make a double-sided card?
Yes. Turn on the back side and choose its background (accent, white, or navy). The back can show your logo, company, and tagline, or a large QR code. The print PDF then exports as two pages, front and back, ready for double-sided printing.
How does the scan-to-save QR code work?
Choose the vCard QR option and the card generates a code containing your name, title, company, phone, email, and website. When someone scans it with their phone camera, they are prompted to save you as a contact in one tap. You can also make a QR code that opens your website instead.
What size and format is the download?
Pick US (3.5 x 2 in, 1050 x 600 px), EU/UK (85 x 55 mm), or square, all at 300 DPI. Download a PNG for digital use and most print shops, or a print PDF at the exact physical size. Both are high resolution and accepted by Vistaprint, MOO, and local printers.
Does it include bleed and crop marks for printing?
Yes. When you download the PDF, tick 'Add bleed + crop marks' and it adds a 1/8 inch (3 mm) bleed on every side with crop marks at the trim corners, which is what professional printers ask for so the design runs cleanly to the trimmed edge.
What templates are available?
Five designer templates, each shown as a live preview of your own card: Aperture (monogram + serif, minimal luxury), Masthead (navy editorial split), Ledger (Swiss labelled grid), Maison (boutique keyline frame), and Signal (dark monospace). You can also change the fonts, text size, and two brand colours (accent and a name/panel colour) to match your brand.
Are my details or logo stored anywhere?
Nothing is sent to a server. Your card is drawn entirely in your browser, and your entries are saved only in your own browser's local storage so the card is still there when you come back. Your logo never leaves your device.
