Screenshot Beautifier

Upload a screenshot or image or drag and drop

PNG or JPG. Everything happens in your browser - nothing is uploaded.

Runs entirely in your browser. Your image is never uploaded. PNG stays sharp for screenshots; JPG is far smaller for photos.

Turn a plain screenshot into a polished image ready for social media, docs, or a landing page. Drop in a screenshot and add a gradient or solid background, some padding, rounded corners and a soft shadow, then download a full-resolution PNG. It is the quick way to make product shots, tweets, and slides look designed instead of raw. Everything happens in your browser, so your screenshots are never uploaded.

How to use this tool

  1. 1Upload a screenshot or image (PNG or JPG).
  2. 2Pick a background: a gradient preset, a solid colour, or transparent.
  3. 3Adjust padding, corner radius, and shadow with the sliders.
  4. 4Choose an aspect ratio (auto, square, 16:9, or 4:5) to fit where you will post it.
  5. 5Click Download PNG to save the beautified image at full resolution.

Example

Tweet-ready product shot

Upload a screenshot of your app, choose the Ocean gradient, set padding to 10% and a medium shadow, and pick 16:9. Download the PNG and it looks like a designed promo image rather than a raw capture.

Square post for Instagram

Upload a UI screenshot, choose a solid brand colour background, rounded corners at 24px, and the 1:1 square aspect. The tool centres your shot with even padding so it fills a square post cleanly.

Common use cases

  • Making a product screenshot look designed for a landing page or app store
  • Polishing a screenshot to share on X/Twitter, LinkedIn, or Instagram
  • Framing a UI shot for a slide deck or documentation
  • Creating consistent, branded screenshots for a portfolio or case study
  • Adding breathing room and a shadow so a raw capture looks intentional

Common mistakes

  • Using too little padding - a little breathing room around the screenshot is what makes it look designed; try 8-12%.
  • Cranking the shadow too high - a subtle shadow reads as premium, a heavy one looks fake.
  • Forgetting the aspect ratio - set it to match where you will post (16:9 for slides, 1:1 or 4:5 for social) so nothing gets cropped later.
  • Expecting it to increase resolution - it frames your existing image; it does not add detail that was not in the screenshot.

Frequently asked questions

Is my screenshot uploaded to a server?

No. The image is composed entirely in your browser using the HTML canvas, and the export is generated on your device. Your screenshot is never uploaded, so it is safe for confidential product shots and internal UI.

Can I use a transparent background?

Yes. Choose the Transparent option and the exported PNG keeps a transparent background around the padded, rounded screenshot, so you can place it on any colour later in a design tool or slide.

What resolution is the output?

The export is full resolution based on your original image plus the padding you add, so it stays crisp. The on-screen preview may be scaled down to fit, but the downloaded PNG is the full size.

Does it work with any image, not just screenshots?

Yes. Any PNG or JPG works - product photos, charts, logos, or diagrams. The framing, background, and shadow apply the same way to any image you upload.

Why add a background and shadow at all?

Raw screenshots often look flat and unfinished. A background, padding, and a subtle shadow give the image depth and space, which makes it read as intentional and professional on social feeds, landing pages, and slides.

Can I match my brand colours?

Yes. Choose the Solid colour option and pick any colour with the colour picker, or use one of the gradient presets including the teal-to-navy Brand gradient. The background updates live in the preview.
